Val graduated from Concordia College in St. Paul and has a B.A. in Liberal Arts. Val has been a YAP employee since 1998. She works as a HIV Case Manager and supervises HIV care and prevention programs.
Wendi Johnson, HIV Prevention Coordinator

Wendi holds a BA in Sexuality and Gender Studies from Metropolitan State University. Wendi was added to the YAP team in January 2014 to implement a newly redesigned HIV prevention program focusing on HIV+ youth and their high risk partners. Wendi has been working in the field of HIV since 2005.

Julia has a B.A. in International Studies from the University of San Francisco. Julia has worked in women's reproductive health, harm reduction and HIV/AIDS internationally. She recently joined YAP as their new Medical Case Manager in 2016.
Volunteers and Interns
Nathan Scheiner, Intern
Nate graduated from Macalester College in 2013 with a B.A. in Biology and Philosophy. He began working with YAP in January of 2014, focusing on process improvement and program development for Val, Wendi, and Jonatan, and recently HIV research with Meghan. Nate currently attends the University of Minnesota Medical School and the UMN Center for Bioethics where expects to complete an M.D. and an M.A. in Bioethics.
Emily Bartz, Volunteer
Emily graduated from Winona Senior High School in 2014. She joined the YAP team in November of 2016 and has since been managing YAP's social media profiles as well as other various volunteer work.
